March 2011 Oakway Properties is pleased to announce that we have successfully represented the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) in expanding its headquarters and securing additional space for a National Center of Clinical Testing in Optometry. In all, NBEO is leasing 20,788 square feet in the BB&T Center in Uptown Charlotte. Over 1,700 candidates will travel to Charlotte each year to complete testing for board certification. Oakway Properties not only guided the NBEO through the process of selecting a building and negotiating a lease worth over $4 million, we also served as site consultants in evaluating major cities acros the US to confirm that Charlotte is the best location for the testing center.
